Airport security

Has anyone had difficulty taking their vacuum pump through airport security? I would not anticipate any difficulty with one in checked luggage but it could be embarrassing to have one's carry-on luggage checked. I would hate to have a security attendant require me to demostrate how the vacuum pump is used in order to reassure him/her that it wasn't a new type of terrorist weapon

Hi Tiggy7,

I travel a lot and would suggest u to load it in and not to carry through the security check. I can imagine that it would get stopped by that , u would need to show what inside noogle bag in front of several people, that's not something u would want to do. Worst case they will throw the air pump away, they have right to do so for anything suspicious.

So far, mine hasn't been damaged by loading into the luggage on several trips. Surely u have to pack it well.
