Care and Maintenence of the pump

:)Hi,
One of the things I have found early on is that the pump will tend to not hold a vacuum after it has been used for a few sessions (YMMV).

I found that filling a basin with moderately warn water and a mild bit of soap, immersing the pump in the water and pumping a number of times will help clean out the residue in the pump chamber and in the release valve. Remove the pump from the water and pump a number of more times so the water totally clears the pump will usually help a lot.

If that doesn't resolve the issue then I squirt a small amount of WD40 into the WD40 canister lid and suck that up with the pump and then squirt a very small amount into the back side of the pump. Using other oils may cause the plastic to get weird and this is the only type I have tried. . . which is based on experience using WD40 with other plastic devices that have O rings..
