No One has responded to my question, not even Lucy...

Isn't it overpumping if you keep it whole night ?
i thought we were just supposed to pump it like 30 mins in a day.
I heard overpumping it is breaking the body cells, so that means it's no good.

I wonder how long you people pump it in a day.... If you guys the ones that keep it at night while you sleep then the cups are on your breast for few hours ? isn't that hurting ?

Can someone explain about this ?

Thanks

Not sure if this helps - I use Brava with an airlock so I suck the air out with my mouth and the valve keeps the air out. I do it as hard as I can stand it, sometimes I have to let a little out for a few mins then suck more but I never lose the seal. I'm averaging 15 hours per day and have done 28 weeks like this. I seem to have some growth and I get pretty big swelling in the mornings but no bruising or burst capillaries so I think it would be fine for you to use NB the same way. The pump is designed so it's not strong enough to pump until you injure yourself - the trigger will stop and then break off if you try to force it. I've previously used water to fill the domes so you can suck really hard and not feel it - this has caused my boobs to go purple and left a big hickey mark all round the egde but no lasting damage. You should be able to feel how much your body can take - enough so you can feel it pulling but not painful. I'm not sure if the use of all these suction products don't damage cells, isn't this what causes growth? Like body building where you work hard to break down the tissue and it grows back bigger. Also the fact that you get swelling - that's usually a response to tissue injury.

Hi Liz, im sorry if i overlooked your post and im grateful for Louise's reply which im sure has helped to reassure you about wearing the cups for many hours. At first , we recommended regular daily pumping and still do, but it seems that users have used the cups in the way you describe and i wonder if they have been able to keep them in position ok. Often , with breast reconstruction following mastecomy, surgeons successfully and safley use tissue expanders for many months prior to the recon surgery and i have seen ladies who have had this done and the results are amazing. The point i am trying to make is that im sure it is safe for you to keep the breasts pumped up for a long time and research has shown that the cells react to this by multiplying / reproducing thus causing tissue growth not just skin stretching. I will post some research papers i have as soon as i can to back this up. I hope this helps,
best wishes
Lucy :)

Liz,

I too was a Brava user for 18 weeks for 14 hrs a day. I like the NB much better. My complaint about Brava is that it did not give me the suction I desired. I didn't even know anything alse was out there. I stumbled upon this website and am thrilled with what I've experienced so far (1 week). It takes less time and gives you more suction. It should be fine to sleep with it on. Your body will tell you what you can and can't take. If it's too painful, ease up on the tension. All the research I've done said the same thing about your body creating cells after it has sustained tension. It's just like body building. When body builders work out, they "traumatize" their muscles, thus forcing their muscles to build more cells. It may be helpful to encorporate a protein shake after each session. That's what body builders do. My grogram will include protein shakes after every session with NB. I'll keep you posted.

Hi Hulagirl - just wondering did you only use the smartbox wit Brava? I use an airlock and suck out as much as I can. I couldn't take more than this for a prolonged period so not sure if using different cups overnight would give more suction. The BB felt pretty strong when I used it with the BB domes as they have hard edges but I could take it a lot stronger with the Brava domes (only tried that for a few minutes as I didn't want to damage them).

Louise,

Yes, I only used the Brava with the smartbox. I had no idea about any airlock devices. I didn't even know there were other vacuum systems out there. I haven't slept with the NB on yet. It is a little painful when I leave it on too long. But that may be because I pump it up quite a bit. Yhe Brava was very comfortable for me. I had no problems with it at all. I wished it was more powerful. I'm going to try to sleep with it tonight and see what happens.

OK, so I did a little experiment last night and slept with them on. They stayed on with no problem because I have the airlock device.
I found that it was too painful to pump to the extent I normally do and lie down. So, in order to not be in pain and get some sleep, I had to not pump as much. Infact, in the middle of the night, it got so painful that I had to let some air out. As a result, eventhough I slept all night with them on, I still only got as much swolleness as I did when I wore them for 2 hours, but really pumped them up. So, in my opinion, it's not worth it not getting a good night's sleep because you can't pump them too much. And I had red marks under my boobs where the cups dug into my ribcage too much. So, for now, until Lucy can come up with something that would make it more comfortable to wear for an extended period of time, I will not be sleeping with them on. But it's been 12 hours since i took them off and I'm still quite a big fuller. There's definately progress being made.

Hi ,

I did that last night as well and was able to keep them on only an hour. I don't think I'll be used to sleeping with the system so I'll just continue the way I have used to , 30 mins a day :D.

However, the air lock device has been useful that I can move around without the hand pump when needed.

Have a great day ladies !
