Only "electric tape" has worked for me, but it is itchy and can hurt to pull off. I put cotton pads underneath the tape over my nipple. I can't wear the tape for more than 2 hours because it itches so much, but it holds on very strong.
Why do you want to retain small nipples? As your breasts grow don't you want to have larger nipples and areolas? I think it's nice if you let them grow with your breasts, mine have enlarged and I think they look great!
