Constant Air Leak

Hi everyone! I’m new-ish again to NB I had a system years ago, lost it in a move and about 3 weeks ago got a new system to start again. This time around though I’m noticing some challenges I never had before.

I have the medium airlock contoured cups and I have constant, constant! Slow air leaks. I’ve tried repositioning the cups with no luck. The air pressure is never stable because the cups are slowly allowing air in. Any ideas on the issue or solution?

Also I’ve had little to no swelling this time around. I’ve been trying to hydrate better and I want to try noogling for more than an hour or sleep overnight, but again the air leak issue makes this difficult.

Any ideas or tips?

Thanks!

Hi
Where do you think they are leaking from?
Are you pumping till they are tight ,then disconnecting hand pump?
Try it with just one cup if you can and see how that goes.
I use electric pump and that gets them pumped up in seconds, I pump till tight then disconnect pump {cow milking pump}

Yes I had the same problem as you did but I have tape the leak up with some Teflon tape on the intake of the pump....here is a picture of my cup that I have done it....

Hi! I feel like the cups are leaking air from the sides or bottom. I do pump until it’s tight but literally can feel the air leaving before disconnecting the hand pump

Thanks! Maybe it’s the value I hadn’t considered that. I’ve always felt like the air was leaking from the sides or bottom of the cup

Yes I had the same problem as you I always felt the air was coming from the bottom of the cup and I had some oil on my breast so I was just looking at the bottom of the cup and I didn't even see any air coming from the bottom so I just took the valve out and put some Teflon tape around the valve and put it back in and it was fixed for me....

Thanks! I’ll try that. Do you mind sending me another picture of how you placed the tape? I want to make sure I’m not taping the wrong spots lol

You turn out the valves and put the tape of the thread, then replace the valve. Also make sure you’re using plenty of oil, lubricant, which will help seal your skin to the cup and keep air from leaking.

Hey there friend did this help you out with your valve ????
Yes! Sorry busy day, but I just tried it and so far noogling with no air leaks and lost pressure! Thanks so much! I don’t think I would have ever figured it out on my own! And super timely, have been feeling self-conscious the last day or so

I have the same issue. Air leaks. Not as much with the hoses connected as when I unplug them. It really makes the airlock valves useless. I was thinking I just got a faulty pair. I have bought a number of pairs over the years. Never had a pair that is good with no issues. Pump leaks, domes cracking, airlock leaking, foam rings are trash, rubber ones are an improvement etc. Seems to be the only option though. It would be nice if they made the hose connections a 90° elbow coming out of the domes so you can where a top white pumping. Latest order I bought an extra set for when this one fails. I bought a cheaper set on line. Better quality better comfort rings but only one size and alot smaller than I need. Didn't give a size choice when ordering. But I use the comfort rings on my larger Noogleberry domes.

First off is to take out the air valve and put some Teflon tape around the valve and put it back in....this is the same problem as I had and I did this for me and it took care of my problem.....

It doesn't leak at the threads. It leaks out the end of the airlock when unplugged

Are you missing the o-ring on the hose end? Or if not try some lube on the o-ring. Years back I have had issues like that but I don’t remember exactly what specific I had to do. Maybe it was the valve itself sticking open. Manipulate the valve some to see if it’s working like it should.

Lol now don't laugh at me but I also had the same problem as you are and all I did is put some oil in the valve and work it in and out....you can try this out if you want to....
