Hello! Losing pressure, or air, could be a few different things. It could be the valve on a Newberry cup, if it’s a screw in valve at the end of the cup, the threads may need Teflon tape to seal them. It could be the valve sticking, it could need a little bit of oil in it, I mean very, very little just to make sure it activates when it is compressed. If you don’t have that type of valve and it’s just a tube slid on a nipple on the end of the cup, I would say check your tubing. Overtime, I’ve had the tube get little hairline cracks, and they will if they’re bent in the wrong position will leak. It’s possible your lotion you use as lubricant is not oily enough. If it absorbs too quickly or get sticky like it may not keep a good seal. I’ve been using a base oil with extra essential oils mixed in with it, and after I remove my cups, it’ll still be oily. I just massage it all in, but I found a thinner viscosity of the oil tends to do two things, 1-it allows your skin to slide into the cup without friction. 2 – it helps maintain a better seal on your skin when it’s oily than it is if it’s dry and sticky. I have found there is not one reason for air leakage but multiple options. It could even be a slight hairline crack in your cup around the rim. Good luck figuring it out! Pump on!
