Hi all,
I found this site whilst looking on ebay for ED aids (for my partner) and am currently bidding on a Noogleberry system. I read the reviews and decided to join the forum, hoping to glean a little more info.
A little background… My fiancé is 43 years old and suffers from age-onset diabetes. He has had the condition since he was approximately 18 and to be honest, he has a fairly chronic type (due to an enzyme passed over from his mum – who is also severely diabetic). He depends on both insulin and Metformin, both taken twice daily (28 Units Humulin and 850mg Metformin morning and night).
Usually this in itself is enough to present a challenge, however up till recently he was also on beta-blockers, following an episode of eurythmia a few years back. During that time, he was with another partner and the relationship was very stressful, with him having had a vasectomy at her request. I won’t go into the specific details, however, alongside her upsetting activities outside of the relationship, she was highly unsupportive of him and his oncoming ED, to the point of ridicule and cruel comments.
All of the above has had such an effect on him, physically and mentally. In 10 years, he has been too ashamed to see his doctor to get help… Now it has fallen to me to reassure him that he is not alone, nor is he useless as a man and a partner. After all, he has a pair of hands, should he feel he isn’t “keeping me satisfied”. Within the first 2 weeks of our relationship I managed to get him to see the doctor and I went with him for support. He has been prescribed Viagra, but this has had limited success at the current dose. He can get an erection, but it is hardly ever fully ‘stiff’ and he can tend to suddenly go flaccid. It doesn’t help that he is not bestowed with the largest ‘package’ a man could have, but then some of that could be due to the lack of a full erection. I’m looking for something extra, other than the pills, to see if we can’t start from the bottom rung up, so to speak. I can only ease the mental worries but not the physical. He has been taken off the beta-blockers, due to the change in his lifestyle. It’s amazing what the support of a partner can achieve!
I must admit, in the very beginning, I was a little reluctant to enter a relationship where I had to question if my partner could satisfy me – however there are other ways and means of getting that… but to find a man as lovely as he is… I could search my whole remaining lifetime and still never have what I do now. I just want to find the best that I can to help him feel the way he should – not like a little boy frightened that he will never be good enough and terrified that I will leave him. He knows about Noogleberry and is open to giving it a go. Both of us hope it can improve his erection, and maybe have the added benefit of increasing some of the measurements
Has anyone got any success stories or info with the pump being used on a diabetic?
Thanks,
Faye.
