NEW QUICK RELEASE CONNECTOR

Dear All, it seems that many users would be interested in having a quick release connector fitted to the tubing so that the cups can be worn for longer and more easily. I know several of you are using clips and clamps to prevent the suction loss after disconnecting the pump.

Im pleased to say that we will hopefully soon have a good quality connector capable of being release quickly and with no loss of pressure. It will be possible to fit this with easily to your existing systems and should just involve cutting the tubing and inserting it inline within seconds. Please let me know if you would be interested in this. I have uploaded some pictures of the connector below which you have to be logged in to view. As always, forum members will be offered the device first and discounted before it becomes available on the website. Well, i have to look after you all!!!!! lol

Thank you, Lucy. The foam is a good idea. My friend is designing something out of soft silicone for my domes, but I can see how foam would be very useful and adaptable for everyone.

Hi Callisto, the actual plastic cylinder is the same but we made some rubber inserts to reduce the diameter. Let me know if you want to try the insert and if so whether you had one or two cups,

the initial ones you sent me at first i did try but found them too small
there wasnt enough room so i couldnt really pump them

Hi Callisto, the feedback i received about the first cylinders was that the diameter was too large , so thats why we made the inserts, so i guess they will be no good for you. Please bear in mind that you do have to pump much more gently when compared to pumping the breasts because the pressure is greater.

I'm in talks with some companies now to try obtain the most cost effective connector. You wouldnt believe how much they cost but im sure we'll have it soon and then i ll post another update.

Hello Lucy. I have used those connectors before in a hospital theatre environment and they proved to be very efficient under both air and water pressure conditions. Eventually, the small "o" ring seal on the male part of the adaptor can deteriorate but only after a very long time and I have seen packets of assorted "o" seals in that size in hardware shops/stores at a low price. would love to be able to have a pair of those connectors as soon as they are available. any way of incorporating them into the end of the domes/cups themselves and an intregal part of the dome. perhaps as another set of 'deluxe' set that at a divverent 'deluxe' price... hmmm seems like i see a marketing possibility here...

Hi pamoola, we've tested the new airlock and it works and is very good quality. It swivels also without the tubing getting twisted and has a quick release button and the vacuum is not lost when disconnected. So it should be great for you. This is about the only part we dont make ourselves at the moment and therefore i have to buy them in , but hopefully we can make a similar one in the future cheaply. You could easily place a connector near the end of the cups and have a small length of tubing which you could tuck into your bra. There is also a connector that could be screwed into the body of the cup but this would require a slight modification to the cup. If enough people wanted this, we could look at this in the future. The best price for the each airlock kit is £9.99 which would include a good length of tubing which can be cut to size. If you had one airlock, i woud suggest that you put the airlock between the tee piece and hand pump as shown in the pciture below that i have uploaded.

Hi Lucy, I thought i'd let you know that i recievedmy quick release connector and think its brilliant!! I wore my domes overnight (no loss of suction!) and the swelling was amazing. Unfortunately, the next night i overpumped, so i've had to leave it for a couple of days (that'll teach me for being over zealous!). However, i will be back to wearing it tonight!!.I would also be very interested in the silicone sheeting, as it will hopefully prevent marking from the edges of the domes and mean i can wear the medium cups together (I've gone back to the small cups, because i can wear them together overnight), so i'll look forward to when the sheets are available.
