I'm in the U.S. But here's what I found online, hopefully it'll help not knowing what part of London you're in or whether any of these facilities are close enough or whether you can afford or have any insurance for their services.

Not so teeny, so many thanks to you. You are always so helpful. I will call them on Monday and find out the prices. Thanks once again! :)

i really want to go on PM, but I do not want any negative side effects so I was thinking to get a hormone test but they are so expensive :(

I know what you mean. My hubby paid like $400 last September so I could get a complete hormone panel done to check mine because of health problems I'd been having. My DHEA-S was high so my doc put me on birth control to try to balance it. In December when she rechecked it was normal again, but then I had a PAP done in December that turned out to be abnormal, and he had to pay another $350 in March to have a precancerous lesion removed from my cervix. They cut out a chunk roughly 1 inch in diameter, it hurt like hell, and just watching what they were doing made my hubby sick. When they got done removing the chunk of flesh he had to leave the room and run to the restroom, I'm guessing he tossed his cookies. In all he shelled out over $1000 in a 6 month period on me, and I'm getting ready to go back the middle of September to have my first 6 month recheck PAP done to make sure it healed healthy and it hasn't come back. I'll have to be checked probably ever 6 months for a couple years, then they'll back of to every year for a while. Once I've been clear long enough they may say I can back off to every other year, but I'm not sure I'd be comfortable with that as fast as it hit me and progressed the last time.

hormone level testing is veyr important though, that way we can figure our SOO MANY diseases and rpevent them, i think it should be free for everyone, possibly even mandatory for everyone.

Unfortunately what things should be and what they are are two different things. Especially when you don't have health insurance and have to pay for everything yourself. A good insurance plan here in the U.S. might cover the cost of hormone testing, but I'm considered uninsurable right now so I don't have any. :'(

I dont know anything about insurances hahaha. i might put some money aside and do the cheapest hormone testing in a couple of months. the prices varied a lot. i also want to know that cause it might be the reason for breakouts, and i have a lot of them..
