IMPORTANT: Noogleberry forum pics being used without permission

In another thread, we were informed that some of the forum users' pictures were being used without permission in a site called MustGrowBust: http://mustgrowbust.com/. I found my own pictures there too, and I asked them to take them down immediately. I also told them to either remove the other users' pics or to ask for permission to use them. They ended up removing the whole article, but there are still some pictures in other articles. I can't remember all of the users anymore, but there were pictures at least from Illune, Jezabelle, titlehere and Letstrythisnow. Many of these users might not be active here anymore, but I just wanted to inform everyone that this is happening and that this MustGrowBust-site (and other sites like it) may use pictures posted here without our permission.

If you know or later stumble across a site where Noogleberry forum pics are being used, please post it in this thread. I know that you should prepare for something like this when you post your pics in any site and I am personally not that much bothered by it, I will keep posting pics, but the fact that it can happen doesn't mean that it isn't wrong, rude and illegal. I also think that the people involved must be informed, especially because these pictures are extremely personal to many of us.

Using personal pictures (photos) without permission is ALWAYS a violation of copyrights. I hope this also serves as a warning for those who lurk in this forum only to steal the pics.

I just wanted to say that I don't believe Noogleberry has any control over this. Noogleberry did not get permission from anybody, so they do not own the pictures and would not be able to give permission to anybody else. Anybody can register with Noogleberry and anybody can download pics. There is no way to control or even follow what people do with the pictures after they have them. It's too bad that mustgrowbust.com went and did this without first getting permission, their website is certainly on topic and isn't a porno or dating site. If they had asked permission, some of you may have granted it. Anyway I am glad they have reacted and taken down the site.

Of course Noogleberry can't control this. If they have no cooperation with sites like MustGrowBust (eg. them advertising NB, but I doubt it) there's nothing they can do to prevent this. Well, a strict reminder that the copyrights belong to the users might help a little, but other than that, this is completely down to people who come here and consciously violate copyrights. And like I said, that can happen in any site.

I brought this up because Noogleberry probably won't (and they don't really need to, we're doing this at our own risk) and to remind people that 1) if they absolutely don't want their pics to end up somewhere else, they shouldn't upload them, 2) if some users consider using other users' pics somewhere else, they should think twice and 3) this can happen anyway, regardless of how we, Noogleberry and other users think about it and how we try to prevent it.

:( yeah, it's not the first time either, found my stuff elsewhere on the web a couple years ago on a breast growth site...LOL

Took most all of my stuff down, with the exception of watermarked items.

I wont post anything anymore pic wise unless their watermarked at the very least.

Taking the pictures from here and using them elsewhere without permission, is pretty low in my opinion. What would have made more sense, would be to notify people of Nooglebery success stories there, but to point them here to register and interact with current users and learn all about NB. They even could have asked for volunteers, or ask people if they would allow their success to be shown on another website!

I've downloaded various pictures from all across the net, and have found, that some will not download without permission, or you must pay first. Mostly, they were just viewable only. Others had watermarks on them and were useless for what I wanted them for.

I'm fairly new here, and I have to confess, that before, mid, and after pictures have really sold me to keep noogling in hopes, that one day, my chest could look like her, or her, or perhaps in this amount of time I could be similar to her! Those pictures didn't show progress that happened over night, but those pictures did show improvement in fullness, and some in size. Those people are all my heroes. If those people decide to stop using the forum due to misuse of digital images, we all lose.

Stealing pictures and using them elsewhere by anyone here, will certainly cause users to think twice before posting progress pictures. That will ruin it for everyone who uses pictures for self motivation or support circles.

If you're the one violating the forum privacy by using other people's pictures and stories, please stop. If you're a forum user, you must know how helpful those pictures are to the member, and other users here for visual progress, confirmation, and to make others try harder to achieve their own goals.

I think we're all pretty much on the same page about this issue. There is a certain rule of thumb about posting pictures on the internet and that's "if you're ready to have your picture exist on the internet for all of eternity then go ahead and post it". In all fairness, these images were certainly not misused by the other websites, they were simply promoting Noogleberry which many of us will comfortably endorse. That said, it was definitely necessary to ask members for permission. I'm sure they would not feel comfortable about their images being used without their permission.

I wish we can all push this behind us and continue to focus on our NBE. A tip for all members wishing to post images of their progress: upload lower resolution images, with a clear background like your wall. Sometimes elaborate backgrounds can give people some idea to who you are, especially if we recommend NB to our friends and they visit the forums, the last thing some of us want is to be exposed by the people we know.

Great tips in the posts above. Pics that only show boobs and upper torso and nothing else (chin, body, hair, background, tattoos, jewelry, camera/phone) are very unlikely to be recognizable. Even if the forum prevented saving the pics, screenshots can be taken, but watermarks are at least a sign that there isn't an automatic permission to use them. I agree that this forum (and Noogleberry) will lose much if people stop posting pics. Not that anyone should feel urged to do it.

It's simple really, just use a pic app to put some text on it (watermark), the company that had mine was using it as THEIR before and after stuff, but they are gone out of business LOL cant remember the name off the top but it happens.

I wanted to make sure Noogleberry was aware of this issue so I PM'd them. I suggested they respond directly to this thread but they only responded to me. Nothing really new here but this is their response:

Hi, I do understand your concern of this. But as with anything you post on line these days it is very hard to control what other people can do. If you post in Instagram the pictures are automatically owned by Instagram. We are looking into a way of stopping this, but even if we mark them so you can not copy them with the technology of phones, ipads and computers you can still screen shot. It is something that is alomost impossible to police. You can water mark them, and also if you do post pictures try not to have anything that can identify yourself on the pictures. We do adise that any pictures posted are done so at the users risk.
Many Thanks
Noogleberry Team
