It depends on the surgeon, the procedure, how many areas are being used to transfer from, etc. I don't want regular lipo. Why? Because it's outdated, it's not as good, it gets rid of the fat, but the skin is still loose sometimes, and it doesn't shape you. I want hi-def lipo, so yes it's more expensive. But I'd rather wait and get exactly what I want with the exact doctor I want than to try to look for cheaper. Also the price varies on if you are getting a regular transfer or stem-cell enriched. From my talks with doctors, they say that the regular transfer is just as good, so I'm getting a regular transfer with hi-def lipo. The areas one dr wants to take from is abdomen, flanks, back, upper back. The other one wants to do those areas plus my thighs. So the more areas done with lipo of course the price goes up.
Also if I were to travel, I would also have to spend more money for flights, hotels, extended time off work, etc. That's why I'm more looking for something local. The $8500 price tag might be cheaper than say $12000 but, with flights back and forth multiple times, hotel, arrangements for my work and family... I would end up paying the same if not more to go there. With surgery like this you don't see the doctor just one time. You have your consultation, the visit before the surgery, blood work, the surgery itself, and follow ups. All of that is harder to do across country. I think what I'm going to do, is wait until after my move, after getting settled and all... then save half in cash and finance the rest, then the monthly payment wouldn't be so bad. Then I could pay it off by making more than the monthly payment when possible. It's what I do with any loan I have, car, personal, etc. That's why when I traded in my last car for my new one I had $5K of equity in it.
Reading through this, sorry if I sound weird or anything, been a long day and I'm exhausted lol about to head to bed though.
